Mission Statement

At Olive Point we desire to honor God through our worship, giving, and service. We strive to share the Good news of Jesus with our community, county, state, and the world around us (Acts 1:8). To see believers trained, encouraged, and growing in Christian maturity. Our Goal is to glorify Jesus in all we do.

Core Beliefs

Our statement of Faith:

We at Olive Point embrace the Baptist Faith & Message (the statement adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention).

We believe that there is One true God. He is the creator and ruler of the universe. He reveals Himself to us as the Father, the Son (Jesus), and the Holy Spirit. We believe that the Bible is the inspired, inerrant word of God. Therefore all scripture is totally true and trustworthy (2 Timothy 3:16).

We believe that every person has sinned (Romans 3:23) and that sin has condemned mankind to an eternity in Hell (Romans 6:23). We believe that God sent His son Jesus to earth. He lived a perfect sinless life, He died on a cross to pay the debt for our sin, (John 3:16, Romans 5:8) and three days later God raised Him from the dead (1 Corinthians 15:3-4). We believe He is at the right hand of the Father today (Acts 7:55-56).

We believe that one day all people will stand before God. Those who have repented of their sin and trusted in Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior will spend eternity in Heaven with Him. Those who have not will spend eternity in torment in Hell. Jesus made it clear He is the one and only way to the Father/Heaven (John 14:6). The Bible teaches that anyone can be saved, if they will believe in Jesus and repent of their sin (Romans 10:9-10).
